TUNING THE NISSAN RB25DET (R33)

Another great Nissan RB25DET R33 GTSt came in sporting a Holset HX35 turbo controlled by a Haltech E11 v2 ECU. And yes — it belongs to a female owner. Respect!

The combination of a Holset HX35 and Haltech E11 v2 is a serious setup on an R33. The HX35 is a large-frame truck-derived turbo that can support very high power levels when the engine is built for it.

We carried out a full custom tune to match the Haltech ECU to the car’s specification. The result was a strong, reliable power delivery with excellent boost control. Ladies — take note. Consider an R33 GTSt as your personal transport of choice. You will not be disappointed.

hi mate seen alot of happy customers praising ur work fella just wanted to know wat is vals engine like did u find any issues with it as i am about to purchase it asap and also wanted to know in previous mapping session you commented on waste/gate and boost leak can u just clarify wat u meant please as u know the car well as it has only been mapped by u.also wat other mods can i do to up power and torque i.e. cams or up the boost?i will be coming to see you soon once i have the recommended mods done u mention for moore power.i am also in london which makes life much easier your advise /comments would be greatly appreciated thankz fella.

Nissan 200SX S13

Fantastic to see DW embracing Steve's talents!

Steve has been mapping my S13 for years now. Like others i had used a well known tuner to set up my power FC and thought it was great at the time until i wanted a remap for some extra boost but wasn''t prepared to pay the 400 odd quid for a complete new map. Steve downloaded the map off my car which turned out to be little more than a base map then remapped the PFC without even needing to touch the boost, the difference was night and day.

Steve always makes sure you know what he's doing and why. He listens to what you want and then goes out of his way to make sure you get it.

My car now runs a rebuilt RB25DET and initial tuning from Steve saw it make 444bhp @ 1.2bar.

I look forward to further tuning in the near future.

Yup, we was road mapping mine to the dyno, at the dyno, and then back after doing a load of other cars. I think we finished tweaking it at about 3am!

It was mapped previously by a \\"well recommended\\" mapper, but it was like a new car after the remap!

3 of my mates have been to him too, and all been very impressed with the dyno results and service!
