TUNING THE MITSUBISHI 4G63 (EVO 7)
The Mitsubishi 4G63 EVO 7 is a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder AWD platform with exceptional tuning potential. The EVO 7 introduced the CT9A chassis and refined the 4G63 formula to deliver outstanding performance and handling on road and track.
FC Tuning carried out a full ECU remap on this EVO 7 using our Apexi Power FC ECU. We mapped fuel, ignition, boost, and MIVEC parameters carefully on the rolling road to extract maximum power while ensuring long-term reliability.
The EVO 7 responded brilliantly to the remap, producing excellent power figures and a strong, linear torque curve throughout the rev range.
is this a stock evo 7? whats in it if i can ask?.. thanks
its forged.. Rods and Pistons and Uprated headbolts… Ripe for a larger turbo when the owner decides 🙂 but ECU yes is factory.. OEM Reflashed to suit the new boost level and modifications (independent Blitz Boost controller used).. it was a good while ago that was done, but thats what I remember.. Also has uprated suspension and full exhaust all the way from the turbo back.
by the way.. you dont HAVE to forge a 4G63 to acheive 350hp.. it can be done on the stock block. With this bottom end the engine is nice n ready for 550-600hp with the right turbo and EVEN larger injectors…. its quick enough though for the streets and the previous power was 260-270 (as most good ones are at STOCK)
