TUNING THE NISSAN SR20DET (S14a)
Fuel pump issues initially held things back, but thankfully we had a few Bosch 044s on stand by (as you never know when you may run out of flow). The Walbro pump just couldnt hack it, and I didnt like the way fuel pressure was dropping off at high revs. So in came the Bosch 044 pump to the rescue which was fitted in-line. Once sorted it was then clearly evident that pressure was being maintained all the way to the redline and beyond, even with high boost pressure. Also injector duty cycles were minimised as a result.. great news for both myself and the owner.. The engine then went on to make great power and the owner was given a surprise when he was pushed back in his seat on the test drive.
Nice performance from this well prepped SR20DET, sporting yet another FCTuningNistune ECU Solution which was fitted and tuned, with a HKS turbin blowing the air into the cylinders, along with the usual S_Body supporting modifications.
