TUNING THE NISSAN SR20DET (S14)

A nice fresh healthy SR20DET, in stock form & well prepped with just the usual bolt ons but with Nismo 740cc’s providing the juice & a Z32 MAF meant this tune was nice n straight foward. The cleaned Z32 MAF was wired & soldered up to replace the more restrictive stock S14 MAF that evening. This is nice low mileage SR20 still has its healthy OEM Garret T28 Turbo. The tune resulted in yet another nice fast road / drift [...]

This lovely skyline was back for more fine tuning with a pair of new Nismo MAFs (as stock one were maxing out on previous tune at around 490hp) So after re tuning nice gains were made due to being able to run slightly more boost

TUNING THE NISSAN RB25DET (R34)

It was great to see Si’s R34 GTT Auto back on the dyno.. Turbo had been upgraded from the factory stock unit to a GReddy 18G so it was back on the dyno for some fine tuning. Though boost on this occasion would be kept to a minimum due to no gearbox oil cooler and with the new turbo it was soon evident after intial tuning that this was gonna be making some nice early torque. A Fellow drifters lovely SR20DET powered 180sx which I was kindly flown over to setup @ Urban Performance in Ireland, in for some Dyno Tuning prior to the 2011 Drift Ireland Season. Its always great catchin up with fellow Irish brothers and a tuning sessions never seems to pass without a joke and a banter With better quality fuel this SR would easily see around 380-400 but due to Ireland only having 95 Octane this was kept to a safe [...]

    Sporting a GReddy TD05 18G, this 4G63 is due another outing. We had to pause due to a boost restriction on the outlet nipple (affecting boost response form the solenoid) Engine was tune via a bleed valve but will be back for some fine tuning in a week or so and a little more boost and fuel pressure tweeks

    Fuel pump issues initially held things back, but thankfully we had a few Bosch 044s on stand by (as you never know when you may run out of flow). The Walbro pump just couldnt hack it, and I didnt like the way fuel pressure was dropping off at high revs. So in came the Bosch 044 pump to the rescue which was fitted in-line.
